Solid State Power Amplifiers for Satellite Communications
We offer a wide range of Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) configurable for the indoor and outdoor area.
Amplifiers for satellite communications are available in C, Ku, X and S bands with power levels ranging from 10 watts up to 1.1 kilowatts. The SSPAs are configurable into 1:1, 1:2, Dual Redundant and Phase Combined Systems. L-band and L-band Fiber Optic Inputs can be provided optionally. The Internal block-up-converter allows a direct connection of L-band modems to the SSPA for the most cost-effective system designs.
Outdoor SSPAs bring high transmit power right to the antenna's feed. The outdoor SSPAs are entirely self-contained compact and lightweight packages with on board power supply, cooling and monitor and control systems, designed for antenna-mount applications.
Indoor Rack Mount SSPAs achieve the highest power density in the industry along with enhanced maintainability and reliability. A front panel control with a user friendly interface is available. An optional Power Supply with N+1 redundancy ensures an uninterruptible operation under any circumstances.
Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers
We offer an extensive product line of tube-based amplifiers. They are available in C, X, Ku, DBS, Ka frequency bands (indoor rack-mount or outdoor antenna-mount designs) at power levels ranging from 125 watts up to 750 watts. Depending on the customer requirements, the amplifiers can be configured for either single thread, redundant or phase-combined system operation. RF gain control, RF filters, cooling, and monitoring and control systems are all self-contained within each amplifier.
Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) are used in broadcast and broadband applications throughout the world where customers need to increase power and bandwidth, as they are highly regarded for their reliable output power and efficiency. TWTAs provide high power levels essentially for satellite communications applications, traditional broadcasts, the DTH, SNG and flyaway markets, and the IP-over-Satellite broadband market.
All satellite communication amplifiers meet the most demanded requirements for size, weight, and high reliability. Reduced prime power consumption, lower internal operating temperatures and reliability enhancements are accomplished by using the latest dual-stage collector tube technology. Power factor correction circuitry, which minimizes line current distortion and reduces the required Volt-Amps input is also included with each TWTA. These benefits are obtained for both, the linear and saturated modes of operation.

Indoor SSPA haben die höchste Leistungsdichte einhergehend mit Wartungsfreundlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit. Die Bedienungseinheit (Front Panel Control) ist mit einem benutzerfreundlichen Interface erhältlich.
Eine optionale Versorgungseinheit mit N+1 Redundanz garantiert unter allen Umständen einen störungsfreien Betrieb.
Die SSPA sind im C-, Ku-, X-, und S-Band, mit Leistungsstufen von 10 Watt bis hin zu 1,1 Kilowatt erhältlich. Sie sind einfach, in

Wanderfeldröhre (englisch Travelling Wave Tube, Abkürzung: TWT)
Typische Anwendungsfelder des TWTA sind:
- traditionelle Übertragungen mit hohen Leistungsstufen
- DTH (Direct to Home)
- SNG (Satellite News Gathering) und
- Fly-Away-Anlagen sowie
- IP-over-Satellite.
- Single Thread,
- Redundant oder
- Phase-Combined Systembetrieb
konfiguriert werden.
Die RF Verstärkungsregelungen, RF Filter und Kühlungen sowie das Monitor- Control-Systeme stellen unabhängige Komponenten innerhalb des TWT dar.
